Vocational Qualification in Business Opens Doors to the World

This programme is an excellent choice for you if you:

Good basic‑level spoken and written English skills are required, as English is the language of instruction.

What Will You Study?

During your studies, you will gain competence in various areas of business. The studies include, among others:

• customer service, customer experience development, sales and marketing
• the basics of business and entrepreneurship
• teamwork and project work
• on‑the‑job learning in authentic work environments
• online studies and digital learning environments

The vocational modules are completed through on‑site studies in Alajärvi, while the common modules are completed online.

Personal Competence Development Plan (PCDP)

At the beginning of your studies, a Personal Competence Development Plan (PCDP) will be created for you. With the help of this plan:

• your studies are tailored to your starting level, goals and prior competence
• you can progress flexibly and efficiently
• you receive individual guidance throughout your studies

The PCDP ensures that your study path supports your personal goals, whether you are aiming for employment or further studies.

• Forms of study: In-person instruction, online studies, independent assignments, pair and group work, projects and on-the-job learning
